Jack in the Box

Dear Jack in the Box Administration,

My friends, family and I have been satisfied customers of Jack in the Box for many years. Your reasonable prices, variety of food/deserts, and generous workers have kept us coming back to fill our stomachs.

However, we have has problems lately when we come to dine in. When we go to this restraint, we usually go through drive through. Since Jack in the Box is a fast food restraint, it is safe to wash or sanitize your hands before we eat. The bathrooms are also very unsanitary. The ground is always wet, there is trash all over the ground, and the odor smell is very unpleasant. Customers are holding their breath every time they have to go the men’s restroom. I understand that it is the customers fault for not keeping the place clean and not being respectful but is also the job of the workers too keep it clean and have an addition of things to keep the bathroom smell better. The scent is really bad to leave in the room while there are hungry people.  Other fast food restaurants like Wendys or McDonald restaurants keep the place clean and smell neutral. I think its unreasonable to keep the bathrooms unclean for the rest of the day. This would make people not want to dine in.

In addition, we have to clean our own tables every time to eat on a clean table. Eating here makes my friends and family feel unclean and we end up eating in the car. Also the only time that it feels good to eat at jacks is early in the morning.

I understand that it’s the customer’s fault for keeping the restraunt dirty, the workers should keep up with keeping other customers satisfied.

I have no problem going back to eat in the restaurant, but I feel the job should be done.

Angry letter

Teen trends online such as video games or social media can cause the actions of teens to be reckless and their decisions making to be what everyone else does. Teens will also want to attract themselves to others.

In the online world, it is a great place to express the vision of them without having to do it in person. Teens can follow up on what they see all over the Internet and can join the trend anytime they want. On social networking such as vine, YouTube, or instagram, you can make new friends and even set a new idea of how someone thinks of you. About 93% of teens according to PewResearchCenter go online everyday. These people are open to the new mindset of the generation and will be likely to dress, and try new things what everyone else are doing. When there are good things happening there are cons to these situations. It may risk your life, your attitude, and even the relationships you have with people.

Online shopping has brought 35.6 million people to buying their clothes and merchandises online. About 50% of people said that social media influenced them to buy online. A lot of these teens aren’t loyal to the brands that they buy and buy a different variety of clothing. Many of them wants to dress like the people that are known and dress like what everyone that you see in the malls or when you go out with friends. Top sites like amazon or Nike targets these teens and promote it so everyone would crave for it.  Online shopping isn’t right for people because anyone can buy anything to have the “in-thing”. They shouldn’t change what they wear because of looking different then anyone else. Online shopping also has its good side because many people can buy things for cheap when buying the same item in their community is twice as much. It helps family have a higher standard of living.

A huge trend that is growing in the world is video games. About 67% of U.S house holds play video games. When people play it allows them to express and release their feelings in the virtual world. Teens playing violent games such as Call of duty increase their aggressive thoughts and their feeling of empathy towards other. Video games shouldn’t be played a lot which makes the teen get addicted to it and wont be useful of what they could be doing.

Teen Trends online effects what the teens do. When one trend dies, a new one will always pop up. When people try to stay original, they aren’t because that person is copying someone that they think is cool. They dress and do the things that other teens whose popular are doing.

Sincerely,

Tyler Ambrocio

Essay Prompt for WSU

To be a leader and group contributor, I could help anyone that would need help or that would benefit the community. Being able to help someone as simple as talking or from taking action to do something, it means a lot to a person. As a young adult, taking part in a summer fun program to become a junior leader was a way I could give back when the same program in my neighborhood gave me so much and different kind of opportunities. Having to go to Molokai, a trip that I wouldn’t have to pay, I simply gave back by crating a video for the people who taught me things that other people wouldn’t have a chance.
Creativity everywhere is open to everyone in a different view. People might think as me a weird person, but I think to be as a many minded person. Living in Hawaii is like being in paradise to those from the mainland. Nature is set everywhere for us to see. The skies are clear and the weather is the same every time. My mind is set on where endless ideas of what can be pictured through a video, camera, or actions that I take.
A challenge that sticks out to the rest of my other challenges is fixing the relationships I had messed up with the mistake I did in middle school. Not going school for one day without a reason was something I wouldn’t forget.  Teachers, parents, school staff, and friends had their ideas about me change to a negative state. I went through consequences to repay for what I have did. The teachers and office staff people had a personal talk with me. What they have said had brought me to heart to change to make better decisions. With my parents it felt awkward because they knew that I was a better person than that. In the end, I found that my friends were worried, and we made promises it would never happen again.
I have volunteered my time to pay back what my community has done. After being on the track team for 3 years at my middle school, It was a friendly environment to be around with. I spend my after school hours helping out my former team to prepare for their environment. Even at a younger age I spent my time around my community. I became a junior leader and used my summer to help kids out where I was once in their position. During high school, I do more work than the usual to volunteer for the teachers, in plays, videos, or even clean ups.
In Hawaii, I really haven’t been through discrimination. Here, many people are mixed and are from all over different places, such as japan, china, and other different states. Even though I don’t have experience with discrimination, I am prepared. I would try not to let it get to me and have it ruin my experience if I get the chance to be at this wonderful university. I hear that at Washington St. people don’t really bully or discriminate and community is friendly.
Surviving in the mainland without my family is something always on my mind. I would want to get through my college years hear smoothly and feel comfortable like how I am at home. I plan to make friends and open myself to the community, by doing this; I would get the help I need. Another goal I have set for my self is to lead find what I would like to do in the future, ace all the work and get into the field that I have desired for. The mainland especially WSU, offers so many opportunities, it wouldn’t be a smart decision to miss this chance.
