Wildlife of
Hawaii
People of Hawaii are
contributing their time, money, and effort for a cleaner and longer sustained
wildlife. They want to enhance, protect, manage and conserve Hawaii’s natural
and limited cultural and historic resources for current and future visitors as
well as its own people. With the public and private places partnering, trust
for a better future is ensure.
Natural
beauty of Hawaii isn’t fully sure that it will stay beautiful. Land in Hawaii
is being destroyed everyday. Wild pigs and goats destroy the native forests because
it digs holes in the grounds and strips the mountain-side vegetation. These
animals came to Hawaii millions of years ago by humans. Hawaii should make a
huge play in this because the nothing holds the rocks and soils when the rain
falls from washing down to the sea. We need the native forests to protect
mountain slopes from erosion for the land to retain the rainfall during heavy
rain. The people of Hawaii should spend money and put forth effort to keep
ruining these native forests. If we keep letting wild animals destroy these
lands, it will eventually be destroy by the rain. Hawaii’s people are trying to
keep it’s natural reputation the same.
Many
organizations are volunteering to preserve its lands. Hawaii has 2million acres
of land and 1.2 million acres of state owned land. Little over half of the land
is used by people. They are trying to conserve the endangered species that
lives in these areas by taking care of these animals and keeping it from harm.
This will ensure that that these species are surviving for a long time.
Endangered species such as Akepa are taken by the Endangered species committee.
Currently, species of animals, insects, and plants are increasing. They created
an act to also care for these wildlife. Lands are needed to be taken care of in
order for life to have a home. Moving forward for the higher recovery of the
habitats that were lost.
We
have to protect what we have if we want future generations to continue. Changes in climate can lead to ecosystems as well as birds, mammals, and other wildlife. This is how our land is effected by other things we cant control. More projects are created to mantain our resources, land, and animals.
Little differences can make huge changes in hawaii. This is why we need to keep alert of what's happening to our lands and it's animals. There is approximately 44 animals and 273 plants that is endangered and many of them is close to extinction.
Tyler your conclusion needs to flow with your last two paragraphs in your essay.
ReplyDeleteYou need to read over your essay and refocus your body paragraphs. You only briefly discuss wildlife and barely go into detail about the topic. You must explore what wildlife we have here in hawaii. And what exactly are people doing to take care of the animals not just "taking care of these animals and keeping it from harm" You have very broad statements and ideas with no real research incorporated. Please make the changes, and take your time. AS(2-)
